You can march with us on the Stockport Pride Parade on Sunday 28th July 2019.

As this year marks 50 years since the start of the modern LGBT+ rights movement in New York, we are asking if you would bring any placards or banners that represent the past 50 years of rights campaigning. You can also bring banners representing your organisation to carry along the route.

Stockport Pride Parade 2019 Route

Please make sure you arrive before noon, as we'll be setting off promptly.

We'll be meeting in Stockport town centre on Bridgefield Street at the bicycle racks, between Red Rock and the street level disabled car park.

At noon we'll be heading up Bridgefield Street, turn left across Suffragette Square, then we'll take a left up Prince's Street, followed by a right at the walkway with the mural towards Merseyway, followed by the next left towards Bridge Street, then up Bridge Street Brow, up to Stockport's Historic Market Place where we will join the Stockport Pride festivities.

If Bridge Street Brow seems a bit steep, you can use the lift at Sports Direct, up to Stockport's Historic Market Place.

The parade will be for walkers, wheelchair users and mobility scooters only. Other vehicles will not be permitted.

It's free for all to march along with us, but we request that all groups confirm their attendance via the form on our website.

All of those on the parade should be dressed appropriately. Everyone has the right to feel safe and loved on the Stockport Pride Parade. We will not tolerate any forms of hate speech.
